It's 16 degrees and I have no heat
It's freezing when I awake
Your selfishness you've got to beat
My words kill you as an earthquake

I don't have a car that's mine
Thank God I have a friend
Who listened to me whine
Then said her second car to me she'd lend

I have insurmountable bills
You won't live with me to make it better
I am sick with many ills
You'll be mad about this poem letter

There's a man for me somewhere
Who'll make me #1 in his life
Who won't have a roommate out there
That he shares his life with like a pretend wife

You're not for my heart
You don't want my skin close
You come to me and fall apart
When I try to love you the most

I try to tell myself it doesn't matter
Even though it hurts so bad
Then these poems full of chatter
Let me loose and make you mad

Where's the man to move on in
Do I advertise for a roommate
One to share as a real friend
Without another woman's fate

Built into his life before me
Whom he runs home to hurriedly
One that's totally free
Who stays with me securedly.
