It's Really This Simple
Yesterday held you by a different hand
sand and stone
and all bad can be cured and gone
when everything that passes, cuts to the bone
just touch me, just hold me
your love makes me happy
like a smile on a new born child
and every weight you think that ties you down
is never for always
when you appreciate life you always look for the good
my companion I am better since you came
my life is really this simple
and every memory I keep this close
if I could be the sun I would shine in your life
If I could be the rain, I would rain from your eyes
and I would wash away the emptiness you feel inside
just gotta believe with me that you are loved
just gotta relinquish all that dirty past
because you are with me
so let's be happy in the present
and I assure the future will take care of itself.....
