A Synthetic Soul

Iced Over

Iced over

Iced over, just like only the Water can be as frozen.
Another frigid night is holding you bitter tight and broken.

You feel your Hand has been let go, still you're reaching out for its dream and finding,
its promise of life is just as bleak as memories are far from solid.

We know you're not alone, because you live at home with your soot covered Soul.
Shared only with the Cold, as its been sitting with you on your frostbitten bones.

Just as the Wind is destined to blow, you will find it never rains like it pours.
You see a world thats been left confused, holding hands with the breath they lose.

This Cold has been clinching your silent life with a stiff hand.
Reaching in far deeper than you can come to tell the rest of us.

They've not noticed how your eyes have faded and filled with shadows.
In all, as murky and rusted, under your vague dust coated values.

I guess it was not only your thoughts that Iced over night.
From all of the effort that you gave how much resolve did you find?

You had a wide open mind and curiousity that breath could not fill.
This night will be long fallen, your heart has shown it can slip to be frozen solid.

Darkness has left you frozen with cold shoulders just like a standing stone.
Surface stiff and blooded cold still as dormant now as your Iced over soul's so fridgidly become.
