A Mother's LoveMothers are irreplaceable, graced with the seat of honor, high atop the pedestal of life. This panoramic view instills a sixth sense that rivals the eyesight of an eagle. I hit the maternal lottery as I was nurtured and guided through life by a loving protector, who silently reinforced my safety, allowing me to experience the freedom needed to develop my many talents. I discovered the essence of maternal love when I cradled my own babies in my arms, realizing the magnitude of this enormous responsibility, finally, truly appreciating the depth of my own mother's skills. I silently chuckle when I hear myself parroting my mother's words, when responding to the needs of my own offspring. The wisdom I received from "the matriarch", I impart to my own progeny, feeling proud and honored to pay it forward. A mother's love is not a given, its a special gift from God That I gratefully receive every day. Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
