Absent Minded

Disasterpiece

Drowning in your sympathy
cut this discord far from my memory
I can't sleep to dream
I can't fade away now
All I wanted was my own life
And it cuts like a knife.

The stars are out dancing
the tears fall from your eyes
I lay here in heavens grasp
and far from any of your harm
but this isn't what I wanted
this isn't what I needed to be
a crutch to lean on
a snake in the grass
a blindfold over your third eye
a pagan celebrating misery.

A tainted saint
hearing his own eulogy
leading the shepherds away from god
to the reality of broken hearts
and bruised knees
the cast is worn thin
my ships are sailing in
my destiny is waiting
and I sleep the day away to meet the moon
who howls at my disarray

Schizophrenic masterpiece of broken hopes
manic tears falling from my eyes
the lord of illusions never came to create
my own reality
Why you left me so high and dry.....

Happiness is but a memory
a childhood nostalgia
a fractured fragment of better homes
and like the rose you cannot see
it has abandoned me

Guilty to teach the wise
something about digging to the devil
Idle hands and masochists
but they are all pieces of an altogether
different puzzle
The disasterpiece is never written
The worm squirms in the sun
The altruistic nature of fishermen
and hungry birds

And the outcast shines on strong
forever tied to the tide
Prince of the nexus
Where the Alpha minds collapse into the harmony
of the mind's Beta bride.
and the outcast shines on
battling inner demons
voices, doubts, pessimisms, and hell fires

Drowning in your miseries
of your unanswered prayers
slivers of the dark side
on an empty plate
to feed the humbled
and be devoured by he stillborn Inner child.
