Pass on by my love
If ever we perchance should meet
On thoroughfare or Quiet Street
If acknowledgement I fail to confer
Walk on past as if your not there
It is only that I love you so
I cannot let all others know
Secret lovers we must remain
Living in torment with the pain
No lingering kiss no gentle sigh
Just a turn of head as I walk by
Falter not my darling with your pace
Show not recognition on your face
My truest love I live for thee
Though we as one can never be
From fleeting looks we must refrain
All show of endearment we must contain
Vote for this poem
Pass on by my love
