healing

If life were a dream,
mine would be nightmares mixed with endless skies.
If a dream were life,
mine would be colors mixed with darks and lights.
If questions were answered I would not be here now,
searching for closure in everything but life.
Aware yet blind.
If I could frame you I probably would,
then you would be stuck like me.
So ill stand here and breathe in your scent,
hoping it will somehow stay with me.
For A while.
Maybe just until I'm strong enough to walk along the path,
that leads far away from yesterday,
into tomorrow.
Where I'll be beside you,
not behind.
We can take in the silence,
no longer alone,
not quite perfect,
but no longer afraid.
Your touch upon my leg,
and im there.
