I painted a picture with words of ink
Never expecting how precise I could be
God must have noticed my work of art
Fated our paths to cross, wait and see
With an opportunity of a lifetime
To choose our own paths and destiny
Upon your door I knocked, took a deep look inward, and listened
Your sorrow and sadness attempting to cover
Yet from my heart's eye, you could not hide
Wisdoms of my past, lessons learned all too well
Taught me to see in colour, beyond the face, in through the eyes
The most beautiful woman I could have ever imagined, on the inside
Take my hand, slow dance with me
Amongst the warmest of rains
Feel the droplets glisten and shine
There is no calmer place I know
Than within the closeness of your open arms
Welcoming your heart (beat) nestled against mine
Innately, effortlessly, with you in my arms
I soar through life completed
Humbly and gratefully, atop cloud nine
From the instant we met, my life has changed
Somehow, I was blessed with the gift of your love
Beneath the tree, a Christmas I will never forget
Your heart I will cherish and vow it no harm
Life is precious when shared with THE ONE
Who's love is unconditionally reciprocated
A spiritual connection meant to be with devotion
And is filled with a most wholesome inner charm
God graced me with your loving presence
I'm in awe of my prayers whispered in silence
There are no answers to be found,
only heartfelt emotions, with no pre-requisites
You have blessed me with your heart and soul
And have asked for nothing in return
Precious, my immense lifelong resolution
