This is me

Friends Forever

Intro: Written age 15 when my first boyfriend decided he preferred my best friend to me. Not one I'm that fond of, but I'm proud of it's structure.
My best friend was, in time, forgiven, and the bloke was…dumped!

I've always been there for you,
Now I don't care what you do.
When you need to talk,
Don't turn to me,
‘Cause I've had enough,
You'll see.

The way you treat,
Is hardly fair,
You phone me up
Pretending to care.

This is what happens,
When friendship's stretched,
The fun we had together,
On my mind is etched.
We'd have our little girlie talks
And cry our eyes out,
On very long walks.
We both got drunk on New Year's Eve,
The things we talked about,
You'd never believe……

Friends we said,
Friends forever,
I bet you think you're really clever.
You can kiss my boyfriend
Behind my back,
Suppose you think you've fooled the jack.

The way I feel,
Angry and hurt,
I hope soon enough
Your bubble bursts.

I've had enough of your little lies,
Phoning me up
And making me cry.
Though telling me made you feel better,
I hope the rain
In your life,
Gets wetter.

I  hope you two,
Are happy together,
It's goodbye to friends,
Friends forever……
