I Wouldn't Change A Thing!I wouldn't you know, change a thing, To do with my life that's past! But I would like to think I could alter it now, So I could be content at last! I live with the health stuff and pain, That I bear and deal with every day! For I hate it, but accept my lot, So really, it's really okay! The things that have happened in my life, Moulded me to all that I am this day… I am what you see, what you see is me, And I stand by all that I say! And all that I say is this; What you see is simply what you get! And no matter what the past has held, I am not ready to concede, not yet! I am as strong as God made me true! And the path that I have tread, Has been harsh, so harsh at times, But I'm happy to be alive, and not dead! And so you see this is my way… Of thinking and dealing with life, I take on board all that comes to pass, And I accept the good along with the strife! Because to live any way less than I do, Would be a total waste of my life, I can't change it, no matter what, I can't remove all the awful strife. So I face it head on and live my life, To the very best that I can do, And all I will say, hand on heart, I'm happy with my lot, are you? Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem |
