The Elves Have Escaped

The elves have escaped
From Santa's workshop,
Getting tired of working so hard
With no time off.

Santa's very upset
It's two days before Christmas,
The elves ripped up
The naughty and nice lists.

What will Santa do now
Without any elves?
It will take him a year of more
To make toys by himself.

He has an idea
The reindeer can help,
Nah, maybe not
He's getting tired, of hearing them yelp.

Maybe the Grinch
Can give him a hand,
That's a bad idea too
He'd steal the toys, whenever he can.

The elves have escaped
I guess, there won't be a Christmas this year,
Santa sits in his lazy boy chair
And cracks open a frosty beer.
