 Pages Of A Woman's Soul

Sunshine dapples the water and
shimmering, it pulsates
up through the trees
dazzling my eyes.
The daylight is low on the land,
its final rays setting the
woods on fire,
awash in molten gold.
A calm so deep
it pervades every
inch of the soul
settles over the lake.
So swiftly it surprises,
twilight rushes in
to take up where
the day ended,
violet night
all that's left
in its wake...
and I bid
the sun a
sweet farewell
and bless
the close
of day.
