 Pages Of A Woman's Soul

A filmy veil, a mist,
covers the honey colored
quarter moon
and a game of hide-and-seek
with the clouds ensues
across the navy evening.
Pinpoints of twinkling light
appear and disappear
in the humid air;
fireflies in
a dark, grassy field.
Enveloped by the warm
August night,
contentment finds me
and closing my eyes
I float, carried away
on midsummer dreams.
