SEARCHING FOR MY LOST SELF
I keep my poems packed
And my stallion saddled
Traveling from myth to myth
Away from this melancholy
Searching for my lost self.
I will sing and dance
Though the world is deaf and blind,
Fraught with hate and rage.
I will sing and dance
To reveal the veil of mind.
To no avail,
I call out the blind
To behold the misery left behind,
Wars, death, and famines.
But I will keep on singing
to life and drinking to love
Letting my songs wash the ruins
