Shifting LifeIt seems like years go by so fast, Is there a way to make them last? And going through life each stage, Just seems to go faster as we age. It just only feels like yesterday, My hair did not have any gray; A time when I felt so carefree, There was no worry deep inside me. A time that I did not know God, And unknowing just how flawed; That my life was really a mess, With inspiration being even less. I did not realize upon that time, In the eyes of God on my crime; Until the day that His Spirit came, In order to point out all my shame. Then I knew where I had strayed, And confessed to God as I prayed; While asking Him to enter within, To cleanse all the unrighteous sin.
