"the tale of the snow covered magnolia blossom and the winterless winter"
the moon shone from
the winter sky bright
and round, as if an orb
in a fluted crystal,
as she murmured her secrets
to the listening ones.
her breath filled the
night sky as the soul
of the Golden Dragon's
habibi was raised to
the unseen. her shell,
he lay, in the earth at
the entrance to his wood
from which a magnolia
shoot sprung forth. a
white blossom bloomed
that winter as if beneath
the rays of the spring
sun.
it seemed that winter
that there would be not
one flake of snow. one
night's eve, the Golden
Dragon went to sit by his
beloved habibi magnolia and
noticed she was enshrouded
in snow as if adorned in
a white, satin gown yet
there was none to the right
nor left. he smiled thinking
his mystical one was ever
mystical even from afar
still drawing ever nigh.
the thoughts of the Golden
Dragon then turned to the
tale of the breath of
underworld.
