The Hair Cut!
She washed my hair so gently,
And added this and that,
And rinsed it clean and even,
And gave my scalp a pat!
She cut my hair so swiftly,
With tingly little snips.
I sat there drinking coffee,
And licked my frothy lips!
She dried my hair so smoothly,
And combed it into place,
And snipped a little further,
With a smile upon her face!
Oh don't I look so stylish
My hair is shiny sleek,
So swinging long and perfect,
So dark and fresh and neat!
I swing it round my shoulders
It tickles on my neck,
I look so young and pretty,
And no longer feel a wreck!
Joy Weare.
