Return of Christ
Days may come and days may go,
Return of Christ I do not know;
It could be soon or might be late,
But uncertain so I have to wait.
Maybe it is today or even tonight,
When He will be within our sight;
I will just have to wait and see,
Precisely when that time shall be.
Patiently wait each and every week,
For my Lord and Savior that I seek;
Knowing that He not let me down,
To come wearing His golden crown.
Maybe this month or maybe next,
Anticipation can become perplexed;
Finally get a chance to see my Lord,
That I have read about in His Word.
I must be ready through every day,
Coming on the Heavenly highway;
Though I do not know even the year,
It is my faith that calms my fear.
