Smile In A Jar
When I have a big bright smile,
Capture it in a jar,
Screw the lid on nice and tight,
Let it gleam from afar.
Place the jar upon a shelf,
So if you're feeling blue,
A moment will pass, you'll feel better,
Because of that smile I gave to you.
When the day has been long,
You couldn't see the end,
Watch my smile light up the room,
And know that I am your friend.
When the sky is dark and grey,
Because there are no stars at night,
Please hold my smile out and high,
And the sky will soon be bright.
Even though it's only a smile,
And I might not be there to hold,
You'll always have my glowing smile,
To make you warm when you are cold.
