Country Boy at HeartI am still a country boy at heart, Deep inside that will never part; So unique growing up on a farm, Cows and chickens have a charm. With being able to work the land, As molded by God with His hand; Planting the seed watching it grow, In the fall to reap what you sow. Nurturing the animals every day, And giving the cows plenty of hay; Ensure the hens get plenty of feed, Also the others get what they need. Life on a farm may be a little rough, But dad made sure we had enough; Since rewards may not seem great, But the Lord provides if you wait. Over the years never seem to lack, Nourishment or clothes on my back; You appreciate of what you possess, And of what God is surely to bless.
