MOVIN' ON

He refuses to move on
Therefore many a Heartunes song
Will be written
Because he knows I'm smitten

With his body when I feel secure
His soul where I can be her
Then his mind's another thing
When he flees it starts a hurting pain

That I cannot always overcome
It leaves me ignorant, moreover, dumb
To think that I'm not good enough
To have a long time in the fluff

On my big tall bed
Where silky pillowcases crown his head
Then sometimes all his silky is free
Commits to a strong bond with me

Two become one as good speaks
That all his love is all I have to seek
Then through this man I worship the divine
From his body back inside his rib to find

His heart there beating stronger
His missing part back for longer
Than a day or a night
Why with your own part do you fight

To stay free
Away from me
The affection I give
As I dutifully live

Within you
Willing to do
What ever it takes to make this connection last
If only you'd give up the past.
