bible thumper

I look at your shoes
they must cost more than
most people's suites
no, I'm not jealous
let's not be confused
but I see the gold on your fingers
the gold bracelet on your arm
and all this tells me something
it tells me something
these other people just ignore
or they are
unaware

so could you tell me how
I can reach Jesus
did my last deposit cover
my questions for this week
or would another payment toward your
mercedes
be what you need
see I'm catching on
and I'm not alone

the best broken bread
I've ever had
was with my family
after our little prayer
together
we all said amen
no we didn't need you then
and we don't need you now
mr preacherman

people if you need then say so
if you dream then take notes
no nothing here is beyond your reach
just don't put your life
in another mans hands
not for anything
cuz n the end
it's just you
left with your decisions
