A NEW PRAYER


Dear God to your love I pray
To keep all safe by night and day
Even those I have resentment for
Teach me your way to love more

Than I do now
Show me somehow
To have the loyalty
To understand I am not free

All will is yours
I live because of your power
Let your spirit fill our cores
Every moment, hour after hour

You must teach your lessons
The ten laws you laid down
Follow them there's blessings
Break them you fall down

Forevermore the law your son brought
From you to us from above
When in doubt and hate has you caught
Look up to heaven and know God is love

The hope's right there again
Because God loves all sinners friend
When they repent
Then evil's sent

Back down to hell
To the angel of black
Love's so divine pray tell
That God would take his Lucifer back

If he would cast out his fear
Throw away his misery and greed
See the power of love's clear
Know that God fills every need.
