Puppet Strings

I used to think it would be fun to own a marionette
But there was a lot of living I had not done yet
I thought it keen to be able to control its every move
I dreamt of the beauty of its movement
With me controlling the groove
Would not my pretty puppet,
 have oh so much fun?
If it would simply allow its movement
to be controlled by the superior one
Today I don't dream of such silly things
If I received such a present I would gently cut its strings
For letting go and living by the seat of your pants
Seems the only way one can truly dance
For love is neither about obsession nor possession
