Highway to HeavenOn the highway to Heaven, Access if you are forgiven; Many exits leading to astray, And detours along the way. Temptation tends to lure, To a side street so unsure; Enticing your deep desire, Setting it into a blazing fire. Treacherous roads mislead, Where Bible tells to heed; Causing you toil and strife, On the bumpy road of life. Even possibly a traffic jam, That Satan started in a scam; To trap you in some ordeal, As you lie, cheat, and steal. God will build you a ramp, To steer away from a vamp; If you accept Christ as Lord, Repent and abide in His Word. Richard Newton Sherrer Copyright ©2006 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
