 My today's thoughts

LITTLE FAIRY

 LITTLE FAIRY

In the corner by the fence are holly bushes
Over the years they had grown into trees with large trunks
Their leaves never fades nor falls

In the late summer green berries cover the branches
by winter they are bright red in color
It is the home for all kinds of wildlife

A green eyed fairy lived in the boughs of the evergreen
In the moonlight she works - spinning stardust from wisps of fog
working unceasing till the early morn

A rest is taken and a soak in the early dew
Curling up on a green leaf she covers herself with a few
Then drifts off to the land where dreams are made

Awake she sits on a holly wreath
holding stardust in her hands
fairy friends gather beneath for her to greet

Little Jewel, sometimes life can be cruel
There is a black bird eying you
What will you do or where will you hid

Quick hop to your feet
Hold a holly berry out in your hand for it to eat
Maybe you can save yourself with this treat
