M's Poetry

Lost Years

He's just the kind of man
you hear about
who leaves his family for
an easy out
they never saw the signs
he never said a word
he couldn't take another day

and she says carry me to the sea shore
let me feel the sand beneath my feet
as the waves comes crashing in
let the hurt you instilled
evaporate like a spring mist
and I guess I will never understand
why you left
me and the girls alone in this home

cuz the stone was crashing
it's all on your shoulders
and as time moves on
the only noise left to hear
is the sad images of lost years

and he is never really happy since he left
but his pride stand the toll
as he grips to his lover
the memories he will never be without
of all he gave up and the hearts he broke
when he was a selfish man
who thought of no one else
