Words unspoken, Words unread!

Concorde

Farewell gracious lady,
What a stalwart you've been.
Three decades of brilliance,
An aviation queen.

A technological masterpiece,
Engineering at its best.
I salute the British Concorde,
So much better than the rest.

You rose from a New York sunrise,
Your wings caressed the sky.
Flying twice the speed of sound,
The bang as you waltzed on by.

I had a lump in my throat,
And a tear in my eye.
When you touched down at Heathrow,
On that final goodbye.

At the end of an era,
I shall bid you goodnight.
I'll remember the beauty of;
Seeing Concorde in flight.
