The Friday night Drinker

The Friday Night Drinker
Is a very shallow but shrewed thinker
Down the George and Dragon
He tries to come to terms with being off the wagon
Telling the boys he doesn't drink at lunchtime
12hrs later he's  telling them he's fine
The band start to play a cover version of Metallica
And then Babyshanbles 'FCK forever'
The barmaid is now pulling more than a beer
He has blood on his hands from bottling a queer
Bouncer says he's bared
But FCK him, hes going to know whose hard
The pen he uses to write reports
Has been plunged between the bouncers shorts
Amongst the screams and shouting
He's been chucked out for fighting
Fresh air hits his lungs and head
As he stumbles down the road back to bed
Fondling inside his pocket for his mobile phone
Pukes in the gutter a few yards from home
Keys jingle in his hand
Crashes into the hall, he can hardly stand
Climbes  into bed and turns out the light
Smiling cause tomorrow its Saturday night
