PLAYING GOD

Your will
You have little
Compared to the
God of love
Possibly in your soul

Your body
It's here for a time
Your spirit stays
To feel flow rhyme

With what being everywhere
At once could do
Without mass, my presence
Going right through you

I played God once
And I thought I could do it
I was a foolish dunce
And God knew it

My back was hurt instead of spirit
No longer strong
Illumination
I did hear it

Is blind faith wrong
Is prayer only a desperate plea
I know now I belong
Safe in the world with God's light in me

It's love that's God
It's sparing the rod
It's forgiving over and again
In the quest to love those fellow men

I sin not to die
Praying for the path to take
When I hurt then hurt my guy
I tried to play God a grand mistake

Forgive us, my Father
Bless us my Lord
My repentance is no bother
Michaelangelo slays Satan with his sword

Who is selfish centered on the dark side
In the burning pit of fire his hate rides
Please don't play God and stay away
I love you still for that good I'll pray.
