Just Like Rain
When I think of you
why does my heart ache
after all this time
I thought I would have healed the break
just today someone did something
and it reminded me of you
I kept it all together standing there
but alone later it fell just like rain
Could I have saved your life that night?
I do wonder sometimes
was it fate for you to go
or just a bad choice
I don't know maybe it was a little of both
but God how I miss you
and in memories I still live with you
but they are not the present
they only make me smile so much
have to return to the real world
I have learned for the most part
have to just suck it up
but there are times
when my mind wonders
when your face is all I see
and all I can do is cry uncontrollably
just like rain....
