the south wind fills our mouths with poems,
with majestic dreams shaping the architecture of our blood,
with memories of when life burned bright
and the lost fragrances of loving hands !

Cyropaedia (The Education of Cyrus): title of a work of the historian, essayist and Greek military leader Xenophon (towards 430/425 - towards 355/352 BC), translated into English by ‘Education of Cyrus'. The Cyropaedia is a romantic and didactic account of the education of Cyrus the Great and essays on hunting, horsemanship, the ideal cavalry officer, and the constitutional practices of Sparta. The author shows by which education Cyrus the Ancient (the Great)learnt to govern the immense Empire of Persians. Xenophon is also the author of the very famous book ‘Anabasis' (‘Anabsis Kyrou' in Greek). The Greek word ανάβασις (anabasis) means ‘expedition'.
