Gaiety and magic fun times we had, circle of friends around my heart
Life was a party with delights so unbridled knowing we could never part
Circle of friends I still hear distant laughter from those long ago green years
How can such wonderful, happy days reduce me to flowing, stinging, tears
Oh those sweet summer times, the loyalty unwavering, unbending
Was like an old often told story with the same, all familiar, ending
Yet time passing so swiftly, cruelly, like a soft clear voice has spoken
It has taken nearly all but you; the circle of friends has slowly broken
If had I only known what this life's long journey had for me in store
Oh how I would have enjoyed this circle of friends so much more
Cry not for treasured memories, my circle of friends, regret them never
Like a faded photo in an old album hold them close and cherish forever
