 reflections

in the memory's afterglow

they say dreams were once made under that sailor's sky
well my dreams were made that night
we ran like children chasing the rainbow
to the place where the sea meets the sand
I felt the cold surge of water rushing at my feet
as I kissed her once
gently at first as to not disturb the moon
felt her warm breath on my lips
her hand on my side
I broke free from the embrace
only long enough to smile
gently I pulled her close once more
feeling again that warm breath in the warm summer air
I kissed her once
twice
as we became one I took her hand in mine
entangled by young loves blossom
I felt her lips moisten
as she ran them gently down my tingling neck
carefully weakening each tender piece of flesh
awakening thoughts in me that I dare not mention
I pulled away once more
returning quickly to the moment as I rang a teasing tongue
around her mouth
lowering her gently into the ocean's sandy bed
and I gave myself to her that night
gave myself to the moon
the stars
the sea
felt loves thirst wash over me with the tide
felt loves breast push against mine
they say dreams were once made under that sailor's sky
well my dreams were made that night
and they will live forever in the memory's afterglow
