Raining Refuge
Masking myself in it's downpour
Shelter is sought we can't afford
to do without heartbreak seeks one
to slay again seeking it's fun
Run we do to catch our breath
avoiding what brings certain death
As pain enters through heart and more
The storm outside evens the score
Raining refuge is how one hides
tearful moments one keeps inside
when weakness rears it's ugly head
bringing what once was put to bed
Camouflage what my eyes fear
droplets of thoughts in every tear
blending with rain we hope and try
sidetracking hurt passing me by
Drenched we soak ourselves in pools
our plan has worked and also fooled
Heartbreak now gone we tend again
to wounds incurred with rain my friend
