Recesses Of My Mindweaving in and out through the recesses of my mind searching for who knows what finding nothing at all where do i go to next in search of the elusive me i know she resides somewhere just havent located me searching for the elusive me in all the recesses of my mind i have seen me at her very best i have seen me at her worst shes there somewhere just havent found her hiding place given time i will locate me and bring me out into the open to join the rest of us elusive beings afraid of pain sorrow searching for the elusive me in all the recesses of my mind me is a timid creature balking at potential threats to her i try to protect her best as i can still she will scurry away frightened by a thoughtless word or deed i begin searching to bring her back reassuring her it was not meant for her searching for the elusive me in all the recesses of my mind this last search took longer to find she fled to her dark cave it took all my reassurance and endurance to coax her out again but here she is here she will stay i will not let her hide making her strong to stand with me so we can face the world searching for the elusive me in all the recesses of my mind Vote for this poem
