To my absolutely beautiful daughter,
you were sent to me this day.
Thirty-three years ago
you came into the world with something to say.
Shannon,
you taught me so much
in your young years.
With you and
over you,
we shed so many tears.
You were so wise
beyond your young years
on this earth.
I just cried
when you were placed in my arms
at your birth.
I was so afraid
to be a Mommy, I had
no training in what to do.
I held you
so close and whispered,
you are God's kid, is what I told you.
When I saw
your spirit and love
in school as you did cheer,
I was so proud of you,
such a leader
you were year after year.
When you cried
your tears
in pain because
friends and Shane hurt you.
I knew you would
cry many more, over the years,
finding your place in life too.
Remember when you said
"Mom you are my guardian angel,
you are always right there at the door"?
I prayed over you honey,
that the Lord would
protect you, that He be
planted deeply in your core.
What a blessing
you are Shannon, I love you
so very much.
Such a beautiful woman
you are, as you reach out to others
with your warm touch.
What a gem you are
with your children
a wonderful Mommy you are.
I know, you are blessed
by God, and with Him
you will go far.
Happy Birthday to you
my eldest child, my daughter,
this day.
I am so glad
God gave you to me,
to raise and show me the way.
I love you,
Mom

Luke 10:21-23 NKJV
21 In that hour Jesus rejoiced
in the Spirit and said,
"I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth,
that You have hidden these things from the wise
and prudent and revealed them to babes.
Even so, Father, for so it seemed
good in Your sight.
22 All* things have been delivered to Me
by My Father, and no one knows who the Son
is except the Father, and who the Father is
except the Son, and the one to whom
the Son wills to reveal Him."
23 Then He turned to His disciples
and said privately, "Blessed are the eyes
which see the things you see;
