 observed

she walks the room before me
just that and no more
moving slowly to and fro
across that polished floor
she is swathed so tightly
 she just seems to glide
so I can see every move
of that body wrapped inside
I wonder what she is doing
does she know that I can see
does she know what she is doing
to the very core of me
there is movement in the darkness
and another one appears
to be greeted by her smile
as he draws near
she embraces him so tightly
two bodies seem to meld
then break the embrace
break the spell
hand in hand walk away
and as they leave
I find that at last
I can start to breathe
I watch quietly
from the shadows at their rear
as they cross that room before me
to eventually disappear
