Let Dreams Linger
Beneath the veil of moonlight
A silhouette can be seen
Of a maiden with sleepy eyes
That is drifting off to dream
So sweet a smile rests on her lips
Her breath is soft and slow
Perhaps it is to her true love
That our maiden does now go
To feel his arms surround her
In the most tender of caress
To place her hand upon his heart
For that brings her happiness
Let us leave her now to dream
Until night does greet the dawn
In hopes the morn still finds a smile
Let her sweet dreams linger on...
