Lifes Long WalkAs one walks lifes long roads n gardens One in life mostly sees the many rocks n weeds~ The ever so much un needed undergrowth The many polluted waters n the reeds~ Every now n then you ll find along the way A patch of lovely flower~ And for awhile you feel as if you could remain But you only linger for an hour~ Soon off you go again upon your way You ll know your hearts home when it appears~ Thinking , wondering and dreaming some One feels one could walk this road for years~ Its the longest walk thru lifes roads n gardens Its one we all from birth set out to travel~ Some of it better n others its so And any sense of it all we strive to unravel~ Then one day we come across in lifes garden The most beautiful charismatic bloom of all~ Its right then you decide your hearts home at last As totally inlove with it you fall~ You know then what its all been for And why you v traveled so every single mile~ Looking back you now come to know This is why your heart now does smile~ Now its no more regrets of the past at all It was all worth every single stride~ Every day n every hour of it all And you now look back in pride~ Regardless of how hard its all been n gets The traveling of lifes roads,gardens n even tracks n streams~ Theres someone along the way out there Is the very answer to your lifes quest n dreams~ Theres no way at all we can ever plan any of it Or even at any point in time try to know~ As I have done , been there and won The very one that I love so~ Terrence Michael Sutton copyright 2006 Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
