Musings by The Poet Loriet
Play Me
Let's play pretend.
Lie to me,
make me believe
you would die for
a taste of my lips.
Embrace me like
you never want
to let me go.
Spin me
cotton-candy
promises.
Snuggle me all night
as if it were
the most natural
action you could do.
Even if it's a lie,
the smile it will
leave me with--
temporary as it is--
will be painfully real.
