 God's Love Through Poetry

A Soldier's Prayer


Lord, against all human odds
give me the courage to pack up and leave
protect my fellow man to fight
for the freedom in which we believe.

Give me valor to follow through
in which one must take their stand
save those in the line of fire
that we  may keep our land.

May safety find it's place
in tomorrow's youth let them see
liberty went before them and fought
to keep them alive and free.

Lord, let every country find it's freedom
may there be peace on every side
so honor will fall upon those
who gave their lives and died.
