and then i woke up©

Once upon a
midnight dearie:
i woke up with
gloom in my head.
I could not escape
the dreary....
so i just went
back to bed!
Once i got in
golden slumber:
i dreamed a dream
of you quite clear.
I found it to be
a bummer....
when i awoke and
you were not here!
But you are near
(to my heart)
