To Serve a PurposeI look up in the evening sky, Just standing wondering why; The moon hovering so bright, Up there on this starry night. It looks as to be watching me, With craters as eyes for to see; Such grace and so much charm, Ever vigilant to allow no harm. Just the same through the day, As the sun comes out to play; Brightly shining in such a glow, To gently warms each of us so. God gave us such radiant beauty, Of a purpose to perform a duty; Just like each and every one, Has a duty for Him to be done. Our purpose in life is to do, As to His will and His virtue; To serve and love one another, And one God and no other. Richard Newton Sherrer Copyright ©2006 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
