Take A Second Look!Take a step back, take a second look, Tell me what is it you see? Are you looking at the way you are, Or the way that you want to be! Can you say to yourself you are happy? With your lot in your life! Or would you like to alter it! And lose the negative and strife! Have you the strength to turn it around? Do you really think that you could? Well you know, if you really want to, I think that you definitely should! I have many a problem in this body of mine, But you see, to me it's like this! A life is a life, no matter what! And I love my life just the way it is! Of course, I would be lying! If I said I didn't want to change it a tad, Because after all, when said and done, This health of mine is so bad! But then I accept my lot in life, For it's like this for a reason I can't see! But I know for sure, on my demise, My God will of course, tell me! But until that day, I am here right now, And my life no matter the state it is in! Is a life – and yes, I love my life! Even though it's fit for the bin! So I did take a second look tonight, At my life and the way things are for me, And though it's a struggle, and so hard at times, This is the life I have, and all it's meant to be! So that second look, well, it didn't upset me, Because I know one thing for sure; I will take all the bad that comes my way, Rather than walk right through God's door! And yep, I fight the fight and fight it good! And yep, I will always do that – oh, I will! And yep, I will take on anything thrown my way, And yep, I will continue to climb that steepest hill! Because God gave me the strength and wisdom, To know what, and how to do to my best; With everything He throws my way… For I also believe that life is a test!
