The Morning Pamper
I sit outstretched,
relaxed and cool,
with creams and oils
arranged around.
With scissors, snippers,
files and things,
I switch my mind
away from work.
Birds surround
with friendly chirp,
and sweet wind songs
tease the leaves.
Early morning,
fresh and new,
I treat myself,
and soak in smile.
My skin, so soft,
so nice to touch,
my nails so neat
and smoothly edged.
A morning pamper,
all alone,
revives and lifts
and lets me be!
Joy Weare.
26th February, 2006.
