Seeds of Faith
Oak trees from little acorns grow,
To be strong and tall as we know;
Just as for all starting as a seed,
Thriving from a nourishing feed.
Our minds are the same at birth,
As the seed planted in the earth;
They are nourished as we learn,
Given knowledge for it to yearn.
Trimmed like branches of a tree,
Fertilized through the eyes to see;
As well as through the ear to hear,
Of morals and values to hold dear.
But some might get a bad attitude,
Be nourished with the wrong food;
It could cause rotting of the root,
Or maybe it will produce bad fruit.
Faith is best to fertilize the brain,
Nourished by God like fallen rain;
As our faith keeps getting stronger,
Our branches keep getting longer.
