The Joy of an Unexpected KindnessThe life we live has ups and downs, In any life, this truth is found, Joys may seem slim,yet woes abound, Life has it's many turn arounds. Sad are the crises which afflict, And cause a downward re-direct, The mount tops we would select, Will oft' erode and us eject. But there's another scene we see, That will emerge for you and me, And unexpected, though it be, A gift without some trumpetry. A random act of kindness shown, A thoughtfulness for you alone, A gift of kindness, that you've known In fact, is but God's Love on loan. Sometimes, some gifts we do expect, On occasions we don't neglect, But when from the blue, we're decked From clear motives and unsuspect, Sheer pleasure comes from such an act From receiver, and giver's tact, There is a special interact, Where Love abounds and Thanks enacts.
