 A thank you to God
Freedom was rang and the bell was well draped
Our freedom had been taken, like a virgin, raped
We scream and we cry, for we did not know why
Our freedom was taken, and justice was shy
For we knew not who did it, not you nor I
We just looked up to God, and our hands burned
All because we would try, But dear Lord you saved us
Dear Lord you saved me, you gave me my freedom, especially
Dear Lord you saved us, We scream out and cry
For in the time of your justice, Our leader did die
Dear Lord you did save us, let the world have mercy
On your messenger and our angel Martin Luther King
