As a FishWould you like to be, Within the deep sea; Well below the waves, And ships have graves. Not a worry or doubt, As you swam about; To find your next meal, Whatever maybe ideal. But you might just fear, One bigger to appear; Seeing you as a bite, To satisfy his appetite. Even though you yearn, There is no way to turn; Your life just might end, Since you have no friend. At least within this life, Even with all the strife; Jesus will be by your side, If in His Word you abide. Richard Newton Sherrer Copyright ©2006 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
